Just got my 226 this afternoon and am having a great time with it. My 12 yr old glass-top stove looks like new...all that gunk that builds up in the corners and at trim edges just melted away. Also made de-greasing the hood filter a breeze. I love that there are no chemicals to smell or to mess up my poor hands....I wear rubber gloves when using them but the gloves invariably leak and mess up my skin....not an issue now. KUDOs to whoever thought this thing up.

I just got this thing last night! Mine has no problem getting hot & I haven't stuck my hand in front of it, but I've put my hand close to things I've just steamed and they're plenty warm!
Heats up quickly, steam lasts longer than I expected.
I've cleaned the shower, the sink, the sliding glass door with the included squeegee - which was awesome & FAST!! The patio table and the washer & dryer.
It's gotten gunk out of areas that my normal cleaning can't get to! I love it.
Can't wait to try it on other things!! Gets stuff loose way faster which means more cleaning! Probably twice as fast as the 'old way' of spraying and wiping stuff down - not to mention SCRUBBING, this seems to take scrubbing out of the whole equation!

I was so excited to get this steamer...I wanted it mainly to sanitize litter boxes and crates....it looked like it was working well, by working well I mean it was steaming....but not hot....not even with your hand if front of it....until I noticed that after I had steamed a crate the crate was still cool...the surface was not even hot, or even warm....that can't possibly sanitize....really disapointed ....it is going back....guess I need to start looking again....

I was so excited to get this handheld steamer. I had researched and found that this was exactly what I wanted from performance to quality. So I am hoping that there is a defect and not the steamer performance.
I read the directions twice and was ready to go. The light went on and within ~3 minutes the light went out. The steamer was ready; there was plenty of steam so I started cleaning around the outside of the bathtub and base of the toilet. It wasn't cleaning; so I put my hand close to the steam thinking it was a dangerous thing to do. The steam was just warm; so I put my hand in front of the nozzle and it was warm. No wonder it didn't clean.
According to the FAQ - What is the temperature of the steam? Boiling water of 212 degrees produces steam.
The steamer clearly was not getting that hot. I think it would work great if the steam would get hot enough.
