My unit had a very short life. During the few times that I had used it, never did it deliver a decent amount of steam. It did blow out strong steam together with black water right before it died though. I guess the plastic just melted and got sprayed out. With the price that I had paid for this piece of junk, I would be better off delivering my clothes to the dry cleaner. Giving it even one "star" to indicate its poor quality would be misleading.

I've had my sf-465 since about 2006 when I received it for a Christmas present. It has almost replaced my iron. I use it every day for my pants, my dry cleaning shirts, and suits. It's simple to set-up, easy to use and with some of the new features like auto shut-off and an alarm to tell you that the water is low--is great! Over the years w/ daily use I’ve had some issues—the unit has just stopped working once or twice, cracked handles, etc. In most cases the replacement parts have been reasonable $ and/or Top Innovations has just sent me a new unit at NO CHARGE--which just happened this month because the replacement part I needed is no longer available, they sent me the new model! Because their customer service is good and the unit is very good, I would recommend the sf-465 to anyone in the market for a home steamer.
